This Privacy Policy explains how Zinology Ltd collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use Zinology Pro.

Zinology Ltd operates Zinology Pro. In this policy, "Zinology," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Zinology Ltd.

This policy applies to the Zinology Pro app, our related web services, and the information processed through them by studio account holders and authorized staff.

  • Account information such as your email address, account identifiers, and sign-in details.
  • Studio information such as your studio name and related account profile details.
  • Client information that you add to the app, including client names and related consultation records.
  • Photos and scan images that are captured or uploaded through the app.
  • Facial scan and landmark-derived consultation data generated from captured images, including scan context, geometry, and related quality or derived context fields.
  • Lash mapping, preview, and consultation data such as selected styles, curls, saved maps, session records, and usage events.
  • Device and app information needed to operate the service, such as platform, locale, and service logs.

4. Where We Get Information From

We collect information directly from you when you create an account, sign in, complete studio setup, add clients, capture or upload images, and use consultation features. Some information in the service may also be provided by studio users about their own clients, consultations, and session history.

5. How We Use Information

  • To create and manage studio accounts and authenticate users.
  • To provide the core functionality of Zinology Pro, including client management, scans, previews, and saved lash maps.
  • To store consultation history and help users resume, review, and manage their work.
  • To maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
  • To understand feature usage and product performance through internal analytics.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

6. Our Lawful Bases for Processing

Depending on the context, we rely on one or more of the following lawful bases under data protection law:

  • Contract: where processing is necessary to provide Zinology Pro and perform our obligations to account holders.
  • Legitimate interests: where processing is reasonably necessary to secure, maintain, analyze, and improve the service, provided those interests are not overridden by individuals' rights.
  • Legal obligation: where we need to retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law, regulation, court orders, or lawful requests.

7. Facial Scan and Landmark Data

Zinology Pro processes facial scan and landmark-derived data to power scan-based consultation features and to support internal product analytics and improvement. We treat this category of information as sensitive. We do not use this data for advertising or cross-app tracking.

8. Client Consent and Your Responsibilities

If you use Zinology Pro to capture or store client photos, scan data, or consultation data, you are responsible for obtaining any consent, notice, or other permissions required under the laws and professional rules that apply to your business and your clients.

9. How We Share Information

We may share information with service providers that help us operate Zinology Pro, such as hosting, infrastructure, authentication, storage, and support providers. We may also share information where required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

The categories of recipients may therefore include cloud hosting providers, database and storage providers, authentication providers, customer support or operational tooling providers, professional advisers, and public authorities or regulators where disclosure is legally required.

We do not sell personal data as part of the service described in this policy.

10. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain account history, support legitimate business operations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. When data is no longer required, we may delete or anonymize it, subject to technical, contractual, and legal constraints.

  • Account and studio profile data is generally retained while your account remains active.
  • Client records, consultation history, saved maps, and related images are generally retained until they are deleted by you, removed as part of account deletion, or no longer required for the service.
  • Some logs, backups, and operational records may remain for a limited period after deletion where reasonably necessary for security, recovery, audit, or legal compliance.

11. International Processing

Zinology Pro may use service providers and infrastructure located in countries outside your own. Where applicable, we take reasonable steps to protect personal data when it is processed internationally.

Where required, we seek to rely on appropriate transfer mechanisms or safeguards, such as adequacy regulations or contractual protections.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Zinology Pro also includes an in-app account deletion flow. We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on a request.

  • The right to request access to the personal data we hold about you.

  • The right to request deletion of personal data in certain circumstances.
  • The right to request restriction of processing in certain circumstances.

15. Children

Zinology Pro is designed for professional studio use and is not directed to children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or other appropriate channels.
